Nokia N900 shipping now!

Everyone knows Nokia started to go down. They lunched the N97 which was an epic fail. 2007 Hardware on smartphone that was supposed to make a revolution in mobile internet in 2009.

They promised us a Maemo device with GSM capabilities long time ago. But nobody knew anything about it.

Seeing Samsung with Omnia HD, Apple with iPhone 3GS and HTC with most of their devices, Nokia decided to lunch a Smartphone that will break the boundaries of our imagination.

They Lunched Nokia N900!

It has 1GB of application memory

It has a TI OMAP 3430: ARM Cortex-A8 600 MHz CPU

It has support for OpenGL 2.0

But these are just the specifications we see on almost any High End device lunched this year.

So what is so special about this phone?

It's OS!

You have to understand, Maemo 5 isn't like Android, a Linux optimized for mobile devices. It is Linux in the palm of your hand. It is True Linux!

We(at MultiMedia Planet) do believe this device will rise Nokia to the place it was always on: First Place.

Now, Nokia Started to Ship it's first Linux based phone and it will be available for purchase in the coming days/weeks. So if you are lucky enough to afford a new phone, just go and get this one! Believe me, you won't regret it!
